In order to do this, lipotropics send signals to the liver that cause it to produce elevated levels of lecithin. Lecithin thins cholesterol deposits in the blood vessels by making it water soluble. Ingredients: Choline (part of the B vitamin family) aids the liver in transporting lipids and preventing the liver from stroring hazardous excess fats and cholesterol. Together they help the liver release fats and bile that, if trapped, could cause diseases such as cirrhosis and impinge the metabolism of fat. Inositol prevents hardening of the arteries and protects the heart, kidneys and liver. Inositol is necessary for hair growth. When combined with choline, it effectively reduces cholesterol by promoting the body’s production of lecithin. Like choline, it is also good for healthy, beautiful hair.
Lecithin helps cholesterol and fat travel through the bloodstream by keeping it solvent in the blood so it doesn't attach to the artery wall. This action essentially turns LDL cholesterol into HDL cholesterol and moves it out of the body.
L-Methionine is an essential amino acid that must be acquired through diet or supplements as the body does not produce it. It is essential for heart and nervous system function and assists in the breakdown of fats, preventing the build-up of fat in the liver and arteries. Also helps the digestive system. The body uses L-methionine to create choline, it would be wise to supplement the diet with choline or lecithin so that the supply of L-methionin is not depleted.
Phosophatidyl Serine is a soy compound that is crucial for the maintenance of healthy cell membranes.
